Brent and his wife, Chely, serve as full-time volunteers with Campus Crusade for Christ at the University of Texas-Pan American (UTPA) in South Texas. They had for years served as youth and college volunteers in various churches, including Johnson Ferry Baptist Church in Marietta, Ga., when they recently received a call to serve in full-time ministry. Their main current goal is to build a team to work with a student leadership group at UTPA.

In the last three years, Brent has worked as an associate pastor at a Spanish-speaking church. Chely is in the process of completing her Bachelors of Theology degree at the Rio Grande Bible Institute. The McBains have two children.
