Jay currently serves as chairman of GSA's governing board. He is an assistant professor at Regent University's School of Global Leadership & Entrepreneurship, in Virginia Beach, Va, where he teaches strategic foresight from the MBA to the doctoral level. He also directs the Christian Futures Network.

Jay was the lead developer of the Perspectives Study Program from 1980-1986, served as a program director for Leadership '88 event that was part of the Lausanne Committee for World Evangelization, and helped develop the AD 2000 movement.
