Kathleen
Gately
Before joining GSA, Kathleen
spent three years as a student doing campus ministry at the
University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth, then worked for two and half
years in Mexico City helping launch student movements, organize
events for students and ministries, and oversee ministry
partnerships that challenged college students and the Mexican
Church to serve the poor together through sustainable programs.
Kathleen returned from Mexico in 2008 to invest in her growing
heart for Mexico City's abused, broken and addicted by getting her
MBA in International Development. She is preparing to return to
Mexico City to build upon and forge new partnerships between
churches, food kitchens, orphanages, different ministries, and
universities. Her future projects will include:
- running a rooftop gardening program that brings together
culinary students, recycled tires and business acumen to help
alleviate hunger, curb rag-sniffing addictions and promote
entrepreneurship, and,
- running awareness campaigns in local churches about human
trafficking.
