Kevin
Cox
Kevin is a Colorado native who
received a bachelor's degree from the University of Colorado in
1979. After his graduation, he became an insurance agent and then a
district manager for Farmers Insurance Group in Boulder,
Colo.
His primary focus with GSA is to raise funds for the Stir the Fire
Ministries orphan feeding project in Twapia, Zambia, which provides
70-80 orphaned children with two nutritious meals per day. He
originally connected to the project through Marci, a former
colleague of his at Farmers who, along with her family, moved to
Zambia to promote HIV/AIDS education. During a short-term mission
trip to South Africa, Kevin took a side trip to Zambia to see Marci
and speak at a pastor's conference. At the conference he met John
Kiseba, a Zambian pastor and the director of Stir the Fire
Ministries, which had just lost a major donor that had funded its
feeding project.
Kevin and his wife, Sharon, have two adult children, Karin and
Brian.
