Katie
For the past 15+ years, Katie has been involved in relationally-centric ministry among the least reached and those who are called to engage them. In her journey with Jesus in vocational ministry, she started out discipling students in the United States and abroad to reach the nations. After a few years, she moved overseas to take part in evangelism and church planting in the Middle East. Upon returning from the Middle East to the United States, Katie took a season to complete her M.A. in Intercultural Studies and serve as the Director of Outreach Training at a local church, channeling her passion for teaching towards equipping people to follow Jesus across the street and around the world.
Katie now resides overseas with her family and engages her local context while also serving the least reached and those engaging them via online meet-ups, Bible studies, and hospitality in her own home. In this present season of ministry, Katie’s heart is to share the gospel with Muslims and see Christ-followers from a Muslim-background know Jesus, walk in their identity in Him, and be pillars in the local church that reproduce for the coming of Christ’s Kingdom. She also yearns to see more followers of Jesus from reached contexts mobilized to walk in His way of life and cross cultures, and borders, for His glory. Her heart for the Muslim world stems from her own experiences of loss, the call of God on her life, and the passionate belief in the gracious, shame-breaking, identity-bestowing love of God in Christ. Your gracious donations and prayer make it possible for Katie to use her time serving as she is called and she looks forward, with your help, to following the leading of the Holy Spirit and seeing the beautiful way God, the greatest Storyteller, will write the story of her future.
