Donna Whitman

Donna has ministered to and alongside vulnerable people for 25 years in L.A. and Orange County. She loves filling in gaps for others, because this is what people in her church did for her when she was a child.

She’s passionate about seeing communities and families thrive through positive youth development and facilitating leadership development among vulnerable populations in the United States. Currently, her area of focus is refugees and youth mentoring in Southern California. She partners with Home for Refugees, a Christian non-profit, as a leader for volunteer teams that support newly arrived refugees and asylum-seekers to resettle in the United States. She also partners with Stars Mentoring as the Interim Director of Mentoring Initiatives overseeing one-on-one mentoring of sixty youth.

She is completing her M.S. in Instructional Design and Technology at the School of Education at Cal State Fullerton in May 2021. This area of study is enabling her to implement new skills for ministry that facilitate leadership development and community collaboration using quality online training.

She and her husband, Darin, live in Rancho Santa Margarita where he can often be seen flying drones of all sizes in their front yard.

Come partner with Donna in mobilizing the church to minister to these amazing refugee families in Orange County. You will eternally impact these vulnerable families at a critical phase of them finding a new home in the U.S.

You can partner through becoming a regular monthly, quarterly or annual ministry partner, or through giving a special gift.

Thank you for following the heart of God for the vulnerable in the U.S.

Below is a photo of me with the Stars team doing the Magic Mustache, it's a self-regulating technique to calm yourself down through putting pressure on a pressure point above your upper lip.

Thanks,

Donna
