Joe earned a Master of Arts degree in professional counseling from Richmont Graduate University in Atlanta, Ga., and is a licensed professional counselor in the state of Georgia. He is committed to helping hurting people with the skills, gifts and abilities God has given him. One of Joe’s main areas of focus is helping those who are in vocational Christian ministry and those serving as missionaries around the world. He has started a private counseling practice called Stonegate Counseling Associates in Athens, Ga.

Joe and his wife, Emily, live in Athens and were on CRU staff for 32 years. They have four adult children, three of whom are married, with a total of six grandchildren.
