Jonathan Anderson

Jonathan served in the outdoor ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ for thirteen years while ministering on college campuses like the University of Virginia and the University of Maine. He led groups of college students on extended backcountry expeditions including the famous “W” trek in the Patagonia region of Chile and the Appalachian Trail in the southeastern US. The focal point of his work with Lifelines (the outdoor ministry of Cru) was the use of specialized group processes to help students understand their style of relating, intentionally creating opportunities for those students to pursue greater levels of connection with God and each other.

After years of ministering to college students through the outdoor experience, Jonathan continued his development as a relational specialist, pursuing a master’s degree in Biblical Counseling from Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando, FL. It was here that he began to feel called to expand his work to the counseling field and utilize his experience as a both a minister and a counselor to serve the local church in the Washington DC area. He works as a counseling resident at William Clark and Associates in Reston, VA as well as leading groups for the Lay Counseling Institute, a ministry dedicated to building up the local church in the Washington DC area.
