Rich has for years, served as a church planter, pastor, professor, chaplain and mentor in the greater Boulder, Colo., area. He was for a number of years, a chaplain on staff with Boulder Community Hospital, and was also a chaplain for a small hospice in the area. He has now returned (beginning in November of 2014) to his larger ongoing focus of empowering spiritual, community, and university leaders in the Boulder area, in order to encourage Kingdom growth and effective cooperation, and deepen relational connections. He is also, in broader way, involved in city outreach on a national, and hopefully (with growing connections) international metropolitan ministry.

Rich has a M.Div. degree from Westminster Theological Seminary and received his Doctor of Ministry from Bakke Graduate University in May of 2009.
