Shannon and his wife, Susan, served for 25 and 35 years, respectively, with the campus ministry of Cru (Campus Crusade for Christ). The Reeves have been married for 30 years (2022) and live in Austin, Texas. They have two daughters and three grandkids and love camping, hiking, water, mountains, beaches and friends.

Shannon works to create increasing opportunities for connection and mentoring within a relational network of 800-plus men in the Austin area. This network, which began in 2004 with about 10 men who simply wanted to get together to connect about life and faith, has become a monthly gathering for men of all ages, backgrounds, vocations and church affiliations. As men move from isolation to connectedness, hearts are revived, hope is renewed and God’s love and forgiveness are experienced in the home, workplace, and community.

Together, Shannon and Susan are co-founders of Momentous - "a college Gap year program, but without the gap" - combining the personal growth benefits of a gap year with the benefits of an online education.
