Aaron Badenhop

Aaron and Elisabeth Badenhop have experienced God’s love and grace in Christ, and are passionate about coming alongside others in their spiritual journeys.

After 20 years of working in campus ministry with Cru, Aaron is in the process of transitioning his work with Christian faculty at OSU into an independent, inter-denominational Christian study center on the doorstep of Ohio State.

With Christian Study Centers being developed at universities across the country, and now at several Big Ten campuses (such as Upper House in Madison, Wisconsin), the time is ripe for a Christian study center for faculty and students near the campus of OSU. Public universities like Ohio State tend to ignore or dismiss religious faith as irrelevant at best to the purposes of the university. The Christian study center movement seeks to demonstrate the vitality and wisdom of the Christian faith for the life of the university. Consider it a ministry hub in partnership with many campus ministries, with an emphasis on spiritual formation and academics (affiliated with the Consortium of Christian Study Centers).

Aaron is Spiritual Theologian in Residence at Hope Church (EPC), and associate director of the Christian Medical and Dental Associations in Columbus. After undergraduate studies at OSU, Aaron received a Master of Divinity degree from Ashland Theological Seminary, and was awarded a Doctor of Ministry degree in Leadership and Spiritual Formation from Portland Seminary of George Fox University. His research has focused on equipping Christian faculty in the secular academy to integrate their faith with their roles, to live on mission in the university setting.

Aaron and Elisabeth have two daughters in elementary school named Brooke and Molly. Our family loves living in Columbus and attending Buckeyes’ sporting events, and we love traveling and the outdoors.
